YOUTH AWARDS

 

'Young at Heart'

 

The Criteria for the Young at Heart Award:

The award will be presented to the Endurance Canada member who has shown the following characteristics over the current year:

 

  • A dedication to helping and supporting youth become more involved in the sport of endurance riding.
  • Assisting youth who are currently in the sport through sponsoring, financial support, give freely of their time and experience
  • Proven him/herself to be a positive role model and mentor for youth.  This includes educating youth not only about the sport, but also about other life lessons.
     

Youth Appreciation Award

 

The criteria for these certificates of appreciation:

 

  • Willing to sponsor juniors at rides.
  • Mentor and educate youth at rides
  • Supportive of young riders in terms of trailering/lending horses, crewing at youth events etc.

Nominated Awards

The Hall of Fame Award is to be presented to a member of the Canadian Endurance community in recognition of a long term commitment and long term active involvement, and who has made outstanding contributions to, or participation in, Endurance Canada or in the sport of endurance riding in Canada. Awarded annually at the AGM.

Criteria    Endurance Canada Hall of Fame Nomination Form

The Ron Janzen Memorial Trophy is given to the Endurance Canada member who best displays the same goals, vision and ethics as Ron Janzen, a long term enthusiast of endurance riding who passed away and slipped the bonds of this earth on January, 6th  2008 at the young age of 52, leaving behind his loving wife Christine and children, son Brett and daughter Jaylene. Ron was a superb athlete and dedicated much of his time to the sport of long distance riding in Canada and Internationally. Awarded annually at the AGM.

Criteria   Ron Janzen Memorial Trophy Nomination Form
